Pilots in Missouri may now access information on Missouri's 123 public-use airports on a new interactive map from the Missouri Department of Transportation. The interactive map displays the locations of the airports with detailed information just the click of an icon away. The information includes an aerial view of the airport and a PDF of detailed information about the landing facility as well as local area attractions and services. Go here.
"Missouri is pleased to provide this new interactive map as a valuable, quick-reference resource for pilots," said MoDOT Multimodal Director Michelle Teel. "Pilots can click on the map and go directly to that specific airport's information instead of having to look through our entire directory."
Missouri's airports contribute more than 100,000 jobs with an overall payroll of $3 billion to the state's economy. When all economic activities are considered, total annual economic output of Missouri's system of airports is estimated approximately $11 billion. This represents 4.3 percent of the gross state product.
